Dutch traveler landed in Pariaman in 1932 and figured out how the native trained monkeys so they able to pick coconuts.
J Jongejans, a Dutch traveler who landed in Pariaman in 1932 saw monkeys picking coconuts. This monkeys or as local people call as beruk Jongejans wrote in his journal, has been able to replace the human work. They able to pick the coconut from the tree. Today the wild monkey are still traded to be trained as coconut pickers.
